In Memory of Dana Knox

Dr. Dana E. Knox, Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Otto H. York Department of Chemical, Biological and Pharmaceutical Engineering and Associate Provost for Undergraduate Programs at the New Jersey Institute of Technology passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Dr. Knox was born in upstate New York, and received BS (1977), MS (1978) and PhD (1982) degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic University in Troy, New York. He began his career on the faculty at NJIT in 1983, and he joined the Provost’s Office at NJIT in 2004. This year he would have celebrated his 25-year anniversary at NJIT.

NJIT Fall Open House for High School Students and Their Parents Being Held Oct 26

NJIT is holding a fall open house for high school students and their parents on Sun, Oct 26, 2008, from 11 am to 4 pm. Plan to arrive no later than 1 pm to take advantage of all the programs.

NJIT Students to Explore NY City, Jersey City, and Newark Today

As part of Highlander Welcome Days 2008, NJIT is organizing tours of Newark, Jersey City and New York City today (Mon, Sept 1). This is open to all NJIT student; sign up at the Highlander Festival or at the Campus Information Desk.

The "Explore Your World Tours" are from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Tours will visit landmarks, such as Times Square and Herald Square and local spots in Newark and Jersey City. Bring some spending money, camera and comfortable shoes!
