CCS 13th Annual Capstone Student Showcase

NJIT teams to present spectacular Real World Projects accomplishments

Our 13th showcase in Spring 2010 will feature:

  • Real World projects sponsored by industry or initiated by entrepreneurial students.
  • An active open house for new sponsors, new university students, and new partners.
  • A unique opportunity to introduce HS/MS students, parents and teachers to our year-round FREE Real World Connections Program for high school and middle school students
  • One-of-a-kind Fast Career Fair to connect students instantly to job opportunities and connect companies to potential hires.
  • An advising day to connect our Capstone Industry and Alumni Advisory Board to current and future students.
  • An open learning day to introduce our peer-to-peer Real World Open University to the world.

Greek Week 2010 "Class of the Titans"

The NJIT fraternities and sororities kicked off their annual celebration of Greek Week themed “Class of the Titans” with a competition to build a Greek God out of recycled and reused materials. The “gods” are on display in the first floor of the Campus Center.

Dr. William Spillers passes away

Dr. William Spillers, distinguished professor and former chairman of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Bill began his career at NJIT as a professor and chairman of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in 1990 and served in that capacity until June 1998. Prior to joining the NJIT faculty he was a professor of civil engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He received the Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1961.
